BAHRAIN'S largest religious school has won a temporary reprieve after
it was threatened with closure for refusing to fall under the
government's jurisdiction.
Earlier this month Imam Al Baqer Religious School in Hamad Town,
which caters to 800 students, received a written warning by the Justice
and Islamic Affairs Ministry stating it would be closed if it did not
officially register the institute.
However, Northern Municipality procedures to close the school were
frozen after Municipalities and Agriculture Affairs Minister Mansoor Bin
Rajab stepped in on behalf of the school's proprietor.........
